(Algona)--An Algona woman is facing charges after a pursuit late last week in rural Kossuth County.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Yaime Guerra Barban failed to stop while deputies were attempting to conduct a traffic stop Friday evening.  The criminal complaint says deputies had lights and sirens activated, but Guerra Barban continued to drive for 12 miles before she was boxed in by a pair of patrol vehicles around 11 pm near Corwith.

Guerra Barban was arrested on charges of eluding and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. She was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
