(Estherville)--This is National Fire Prevention Week. Estherville Fire Chief Travis Sheridan says this year’s theme focuses on the danger of lithium batteries.

Sheridan advises on how to safely use lithium batteries.

He says the Estherville Fire Department is again visiting schools offering fire safety messages that kids can take home to their parents.

The winter heating season is fast approaching and Sheridan warns about the dangers of using space heaters.

National Fire Prevention week runs through Saturday.
