Hinson Campaigns in Northwest Iowa

(Estherville)--Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Ashley Hinson made a campaign swing through northwest Iowa on Wednesday. In an interview with KILR News, Hinson outlined her priorities if elected in November. Hinson who has represented Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District since 2021, says she will vote to make the recent tax breaks for Social Security benefits, overtime pay and tip income permanent.

One of the big issues in the campaign has been the high price of gas and diesel fuel caused by the Iran War. Hinson has been a supporter of the war but says it should end as soon as possible. She says there are several things that can be done to lower the price of gas.

Hinson also answered some of the ads being run against her by Democrat Josh Turek. She says she has never voted against releasing the Epstein files.

Hinson also denied that her family has gotten $8 million dollars richer during her time in Congress.

Hinson also made campaign stops Wednesday in Spirit Lake and Bancroft.
