(Spirit Lake)--Iowa Learning Farms, in partnership with the Northwest Iowa Ag Stewardship Alliance, will host a cover crop field day near Spirit Lake later this month. Conservation and Cover Crop Outreach Specialist Liz Ripley says the no cost event will be held Wednesday, August 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boettcher Family Farms.
Ripley details the benefits of cover crops.
She says the evening will start with a presentation from the Boettcher family.
Boettcher Family Farms is located at 1200 215th Ave near Spirit Lake. The event is open to farmers and landowners but reservations are required to ensure adequate space and food. RSVP by contacting Liz Ripley at 515-294-5429 or send an email to ilf@iastate.edu by August 19th.
